Here’s to 2026

2025 didn’t start out that way but it sure became a year of finding myself.

It was quite the health journey: starting GLP1, refining the hormone balancing, and coming off of the stupid SSRI I’m fairly certain I didn’t need anyway (for nearly 3 years).

It wasn’t just the “female hormones” that took flight. My thyroid went wonky too. I’ve found a couple of excellent providers. I had to get comfortable with branching out from the usual providers allows by the insurance. Providers that know what is happening AND providers who listen.

I started out 2025 aiming to reach 170. Since I’d started out back at 250 🙈, that seemed like a lofty goal. Here we are at the end of 2025, and I’m a pound away!

As I grew closer to the goal, I talked with my providers about trying to go lower since 170 is still in the overweight BMI. The medical team agrees. I’m not sure what that is yet…

I’ve learned I really like leggings! I had to buy more new clothes.

The most important thing is feeling good. I have energy. I sleep better. All the things that plagued me earlier in the year are under control at the moment.

I’m glad I took the pictures along this journey. Even from just a couple months ago…

While I’m not a provider, I’d happily share with you everything I did if you find yourself with any of the same afflictions. This all started when I felt anxious. We can have a discussion later about why the only answer offered was an SSRI.

I’m also an excellent listener!

Next up…getting going in the gym. 🙈 apparently lifting is the way to stay out of the nursing homes…
